A year ago today, we tried to comfort you. Now a year later, we try to comfort our hearts.

I had wished to spend the day with my sister Terri and with Heather. Each of us though had spent the day differently. But together we celebrate this day, in remembrance of you-our mother, grandmother.

Flowers were scattered into the ocean in Crescent City by myself. Heather at Vista Point, and Terri in Hawaii.

You have touched our lives forever. We will never forget you, and the importance of what life meant to you. Good friends and family.

Love and miss, I always think of you.

I have been thinking of you all day.  I can't believe a year ago we were sitting at the kitchen table having birthday cake and now your gone.  I didn't know what to do today but I wanted it to be special, so I went out and got a small birthday cake.  The kids and I each made a wish for you and had a slice of cake.  We smiled, laughed and cried (a little).  I miss you so much.  I missed you so much on my birthday but thank you for the wounderful dream, it was just what I needed. xoxoxo
