Mia

Dear Grandma,

I miss you since you went to heaven. I have alot of memories of you. You took care of me when mom and dad went to Hawaii.You took me to the park and to play with my friend. You always bought me jewlery. Some times you picked me up from school and took me to feed the ducks. I pray for you every night and sleep with your bracelet.  Love, Mia

Well I don't know where to start. Sue was my great grandma. I remember her taking me to the park, the zoo, the movies, and to go feed the ducks. She would also pick me up from school,help me with my homework, and made me snacks when I was hungry. My best memory of the zoo is when stayed until we saw every last thing and my best memory of the movies is she would always sneak in food for me :). I will also remember she was a fighter untll the very end. The last time I saw her (less than twenty four hours before she passed away) she told me to promise to remember her and trust me I will. she loved me more than anything and I love her more than anything. well I guess thats all. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA!

If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.

If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.

If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.

I have so many wonderful memories I would like to share its hard to choose. The first thing that comes to my mind is when I lived with Gram in S.F. and every Friday night she would pick me up and take me to Kentucky Fried Chicken.  She would just be getting off work so she was in her business suit and all.  It didn’t matter how tired she was because she knew I looked forward to it all week.  Then there is the summer when I was 12, she took me traveling across the U.S. and I remember being in New Orleans were a man in a candy shop was making caramel candy (on one of those big long tables) and singing the “blues.” Gram started to sing with him and if you know Gram you know she can’t carry a tune.  I was so embarrassed; I backed up and walked outside like I didn’t know her.  She thought that was the funniest thing.  She would tell everyone that story.  But I guess what I will remember the most was her fighting spirit!  All my life she was a fighter and that didn’t change.  Two weeks before her passing I took her in for surgery and she was sure that she walking out of that hospital healed.  It didn’t matter to her what the doctors said-because she wasn’t ready to go.  As I waited for her to be out of recovery her surgeon came and told me it wasn’t good and she wasn’t going to get better.  As I sat there crying, he told me I needed to pull myself together before I went back to see her.  After the surgery he tried to tell her but she still wasn’t ready to hear what he had to say.  He said your Grandmother is a fighter! She proved him right to the very end.  I love you Gram.
